Dear Lantana residents!
This week is National Library Week, first started in 1958.
Did you know Lantana Public Library is actually over 60 years old? We were originally founded by the Lantana Women’s Club as long ago as 1947 and located in the Lantana Bridge Keeper’s House. We moved into our present location at 205 West Ocean Avenue in 1996.
Come over and support your local library, enjoy the garden, and patronize your local businesses. We hope to see you soon.
Teresa Willhelm, head of the Friends of the Library, has organized a book discussion series for 2011/2012, beginning Wednesday, October 19th. Thereafter, book discussions will meet on the third Wednesday every month, except December.
Multiple copies of titles will be available at the library. Come and enjoy some good tea, cookies, and stimulating discussion.
